Kevin Currie is a Teaching Professor in East Carolina University’s College of Education. There, he teaches courses on the history, philosophy, and politics of education. His previous book is Education in the Marketplace: An Intellectual History of Pro-Market Libertarian Visions for Education in Twentieth Century America (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). His research focuses on libertarian models of education, from school choice movements to various forms of self-directed learning. His work has appeared in scholarly journals such as the International Journal of Unschooling and Alternative Learning, and informal outlets like Philosophy Today Magazine.
